Color... shape... texture.  I am inspired by the endless possibilities of each of these elements and try to facilitate a visual dialogue between them in my work.  In my process I strip a composition down to its basic geometrical shapes and then utilize color to define the shape, create texture and to give an organic feel that encourages the observer to linger and want to touch.  The result is a unique interpretation of figures, landscapes and abstracts.  A native of Biloxi, Mississippi, I spent my early childhood in Madrid, Spain.  I recognize the heavy influence of Spanish culture in my figurative work and in my choice of color palate. I am mostly self-taught and have been an active painter for the past 13 years.
